Pre- Lim Song for April 13th "Cherub Rock" - Smashing Pumpkins Overview
Fanatics Sports Central (Map) and Lakefront Brewery have teamed up to bring you May Madness – A Guitar Hero 3 Tournament in Milwaukee, WI. Four preliminary rounds will feed the Final Tournament Night on May 11th, 2008. Lakeefront Beer specials, door prizes, and your chance to be Milwaukee’s Guitar Hero with all the benefits! (Groupies included.) Don’t miss the Pre-Registration Stage Name Contest.
Prizes also given nightly for contestant with the most groupies.
Preliminaries – Eight Contestants each night will qualify for Final May Madness Tournament May 11th. Top 8 scores taken from overall score of pre-selected song will advance (2 alternates will also be chosen).
One song will be chosen for each night of the week and played on Hard to achieve score. (Four different songs throughout the pre-lims will be played.) Songs will be sent to pre-registered contestants via email the Saturday night before as well as put on the Lakefront Brewery and Fanatics Sports Central websites to be views by contestants.
Prizes for Top Scorer EACH Night will be awarded from Fanatics and Lakefront Brewery and contestant with the most groupies.
Contestants can only qualify once for the 32 person tournament, but may win Top Scorer and/or Most Groupies on any or all nights.
Lakefront Brewery will have door prizes and specials on Lakefront bottles.
May Madness Final Tournament
Seeding for May Madness Tournament will based upon Preliminary scores.
1st Round – 32 contestants - One song (Hard Level) head 2 head chosen by judge, victor will advance.
2nd Round – 16 Contestants - One song (Hard Level) head 2 head chosen by judge, victor will advance.
3rd Round – 8 Contestants - One song (Hard Level) Head 2 Head chosen by judge, victor will advance. (Prizes given to Contestant who is still in the contest with the most groupies in attendance.)
Semi-Finals – 4 Contestants - Each player picks one song, highest total of two scores will advance
Finals – 2 Contestants – Three songs chosen by judge played on EXPERT. Total of scores
Prizes – 1st Place 80% of Registration Fees in Best Buy Certificates + Guitar Hero Aerosmith Pre-Order + Lakefront Private Tour for you and your groupies + VIP Room Party from Fanatics Sports Central. 2nd Place 20% of Registration Fees in Best Buy Certificates + Guitar Hero Aerosmith Pre-Order
Many other prizes per round will be awarded to winners as they advance, including Guitar Hero Qualifier T-Shirts on tournament day given to final 32 contestants, pint glasses, lots of awesome Lakefront schwag, and Guitar Hero Accessories.
